Jocelyn Ménard

Jocelyn Ménard, known for his warm and soft saxophone sound is at the crossroads between Guadeloupe and North America. After studying in Montreal and New York, he decides to settle in Guadeloupe (F.W. I) at the end of the 80s and starts teaching. He quickly fits into the local music community, starts playing on a regular basis and gets involved in many projects. After releasing his first album in 2001, he opens his own music school and develops « Gwanada », a project mixing Caribbean rhythms and influences from his homeland, Canada. His original compositions are gathered on Terre Mère, his latest album released in December 2012 and recorded in Paris, Guadeloupe and Montréal.
